We ,Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) is a wholly Dubai Government owned entity, which was established to assume the entire responsibility of producing and distributing electricity and water to meet the requirements of Emirate of Dubai.
In order to meet its objectives, DEWA procures a variety of electrical and mechanical items for its Power & Desalination Plants, Substations, Transmission & Distribution Systems, Water Pumping Stations, etc. from all over the world. The Authority's annual purchases exceed $US 2-3 billions.
The products procured are related to transmission and distribution of Water and Energy Products like Steam/Gas Turbines, Diesel/Power Generators, Boilers, Pollution Control, Overhead transmission line equipment, Substations, Transformers, Switchgear, Cables, Instrumentation and Control Systems, Air conditioning, Lighting fixtures, firefighting system, Lifts, Fans and exhaust system, Batteries, Chemicals, Lab and testing equipment, Metering systems, Irrigation systems, Pumps, Valves, Pipes, Water Network Systems, House pipe fittings and Connections, Sanitary/Drainage wares and accessories, Fibre Glass products, SCADA Systems, Leakage detection through Software and Hardware Technologies, Desalination Plants, Home appliances related to electrical and Water etc., that ensure quality, Introduction/ Display of new and modern products and technologies, up gradation/renovation techniques, Energy conservation, and as well as products related directly or indirectly to Environment. such as Water and Energy savers, recycling products, Solar and Wind energy products, Filters, etc.
