Summary
Homedeco Kazakhstan opened its doors for the second time at Atakent Fairground’s 10th pavilion in Almaty between the dates 14-16.02.2008. The second Homedeco show held concurrently with the second Unistyle Fashion Show at 11th pavilion. These two shows created a great synergy and showcased the latest trends in textile industries to the visitors.
The 2nd Homedeco and unistyle shows hosted around 100 exhibitors, 6 of which were international companies attending the show from Spain (Textile Frau Perez/Textile Verona) , Italy (Mario Cavelli) , Greece (BioKarpet), Russia (Decoware LLC), India (Estocorp) and Egypt (Mac Carpets).
The exhibitors had a chance to showcase products like curtains, tulles, Jacquard curtains, decorative trimmings, embroidery, accessories, cotton fabrics, decorative and upholstery fabrics, bedding and bathroom textiles, bedspread covers, bed sheets, tablecloths, towels, bathrobes, rugs and mats to a visitor group of around 9.000 people.
Homedeco Kazakhstan will cover the following product groups in 2009: Curtains, Tulles, Jackuard curtains, decorative trimmings, embroidery, accessories, cotton fabrics, decorative and upholstery fabrics, bedding and bathroom textile, bedspread covers, bed sheets, tablecloths, towels and bathrobes, rugs, mats, lab robes, arts&accessories, furniture, flooring, lighting, wall coverings and other interior design products.
General Information
Kazakhstan is a petrol rich country with other various natural resources. It is also the commercial hub of the Central Asia and a fast growing market in terms of construction, textile, and automotive. The domestic production of the country is not so significant which makes Kazakhstan highly dependant on imports. Being very rich in the natural resources increases the overall GNP of the country and also affects the living standards of the Kazakh people enabling high purchasing power. The surrounding countries like Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan,Turkmenistan are very much commercially bound to Kazakhstan which creates an immense potential for the exporters.
