Tissue World: Bringing the World of Tissue Together since 1993 Tissue World is a unique series of events, which was launched initially in 1993 in Nice, France. Starting from a very small base at that first event, the Tissue World show in Nice has subsequently grown to become the world’s largest trade show and conference dedicated exclusively to the tissue business. The conference normally attracts about 300-400 delegates, while the exhibition visitors number around 2,000. The most recent Tissue World 2007 was an exceptional success – the best one ever – attracting 2,400 executives, managers, tissue makers and converters from an incredible 89 countries worldwide. Over the years several regional editions of Tissue World have been added to serve other key markets. In 2002 the first Tissue World Americas event was launched in Miami, USA, aimed at the North, Cetral and South American Tissue industry. In 2004, the Tissue World Asia event was held in Shanghai for the first time, attracting thousands of visitors from all of Asia. Tissue World Magazine was founded in 2002 following requests from exhibitors and visitors to the show for an independent magazine entirely dedicated to the Tissue Industry. Tissue World Magazine has now positioned itself as the “The Independent News Provider for The Global Tissue Business”.
