General Information
Zhuhai, world captial of printing consumables. An amazing 50,000 people are employed by 300 printer consumables manufacturers in Zhuhai! That’s one third of all employees in the consumables industry in the world! Back in 2006, there were only 100 companies based in Zhuhai, including giant manufacturers Print-rite, Ninestar, Gree Magneto-electric, New Regent, Mito and Mingjia, and raw materials suppliers Print Max and Inkplus. 70% of the world’s ribbons, 60% of the world’s aftermarket inkjet cartridges and 20% of the world’s laser toner cartridges were manufactured. Their combined sales were worth more than 1.3 billion US dollars –or 10% of all the sales in the world.
