Summary
INTERKAMIEC features products offered by companies from Poland and other countries. Last year, the exhibitors of InterkamieE represented nine nations: Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine. The special character of this industry and the range of exhibited products and services make the Kielce exhibition one of few such events organized in Poland. In spite of not being a large-scale fair, it is worth visiting, especially by representatives of stone processing companies, architects, construction investors and contractors, as well as by individual customers. At the INTERKAMIEC fair, stone processing equipment is also exhibited. It is at the Kielce exhibition that the latest information about the current standards and innovations emerging in the market is available. The fair also provides an opportunity to talk with professionals operating in the stone processing industry abroad. The range of products and services exhibited at the International Fair of Stone and Stone Machinery encompasses three sectors: natural stone, architecture, and construction. The stone extraction and processing trade constitutes one of the smallest sectors of the economy related to construction materials, in addition to being largely dispersed. The total value of sales of stone and related products in Poland amounts to about USD 200 million. Further growth, enhanced by both domestic production and imports, is expected. Almost a quarter of the volume of Polish natural stone and stone products is exported, with Germany being the main customer.
