What is the Annual 8mes Operations Conference MEA's Operations Conference, held for the past 80+ years in Ames, Iowa, is a combination of two major conferences, electric and gas.Both conferences focus on front-line operations personnel: gas and electric crews, foreman, supervisors, managers and directors. Each conference is separate but with a common day which includes the Keynote Session and classroom sessions of joint interest to both gas and electric operations personnel. The classroom sessions cover a wide variety of topics selected by industry-led committees of energy operations personnel. Classroom presenters are industry-experts selected for their experience and knowledge.In addition to the classroom learning sessions, both the Electric and Gas Operations conferences feature indoor and outdoor displays featuring technologies from leading energy suppliers.Lastly, the Operations Conference provides numerous social and networking opportunities to discuss issues facing operations personnel.
