BulkEurope 2008 International Conference on Storing Handling and Transporting Bulk 11-12 September 2008 Prague Czech Invitation Over the last 25 years the European bulk material storing handling and transporting industry changed dramatically. Quite a few old famous companies closed their doors or merged and new companies were established. The key word today to survive as a company active in this industry is innovation. Innovation that for example leads to new equipment or component designs new terminal or factory lay-outs and innovations in operational control and maintenance procedures. However innovations are only valuable if they find their way to the industry. BulkEurope2008 is an excellent opportunity to share and exchange ideas between the academic institutes the engineering and consultancy companies and the end users of bulk material handling transporting and storing systems. I therefore strongly recommend plant managers and operators design engineers consultants researchers associations and all other dry bulk materials handling specialists from the end user industries contracting companies equipment manufactures universities and governmental institutions to participate and hope to welcome you all in Barcelona!
